Terms and conditions of membership

Joining

Franchisee membership is open to anyone who has signed a franchise agreement with a franchisor who is a current member of the bfa

Upon receipt of your completed online application, the bfa will confirm and send your welcome pack, providing access to all membership benefits within 5 days. The membership will reside for the period that you remain a franchisee of your bfa member franchisor. If you exit your franchise partnership please notify the bfa via email at franchiseeteam@thebfa.org

As a bfa member you will receive regular updates to support your journey in franchising and by applying to join you are agreeing to be represented and contacted by the British Franchise Association.

Rules of Engagement within Membership

Our community of members exists to facilitate open communication, sharing of knowledge, franchise intertrade and strong business development. As an organisation, it is our mission to protect franchising through representation. We influence success through high quality education and networking opportunities.

By joining franchisee membership, you agree to abide by our rules of engagement and values within membership to help maintain a culture that we can all be proud of.

Termination

The bfa reserves the right to terminate a member’s membership should they repeatedly or grievously breach the bfa’s terms and conditions of membership.

The bfa may also terminate a membership should the franchisor cease to remain as an accredited member of the bfa.

Complaints

Any complaints about the bfa or franchisee membership should be made in writing and addressed to the Franchisee Membership Team. Complaints can be submitted via email to franchiseeteam@thebfa.org.
