Anytime Fitness is the UK’s largest fitness franchise, with more than 188 gym facilities across the UK and Ireland, which are open 24 hours, seven days a week. Globally, Anytime Fitness has over 5,000 clubs operating in 35 countries and with over four million members across the network of fitness facilities.
Anytime Fitness provides members with convenient gym locations and opening hours to suit all lifestyles at an affordable price. We pride ourselves on supporting and coaching its members, with its class-leading customer service, attracting a broad demographic of fitness enthusiasts.
Anytime Fitness has unveiled a new interior design for its clubs, as well as a new market positioning, shifting its business model from convenience to coaching. This is evident in the new design, which sees clubs split into various training zones with an open-plan layout, providing a welcoming and contemporary environment for its members.
In line with the brand’s evolved look and feel, the design changes are in response to the soaring popularity of functional training, a type of training that increases flexibility, coordination, balance, and posture using a range of equipment associated with daily activities.
The Anytime Fitness franchise model allows both single and multiple site ownership and offers significant earning potential in the growing fitness sector, which is currently worth over £4.8bn.
Business owners are given access to expert support and business advice from Anytime Fitness’ in-house team and an impressive network of leading partners. This provides access to competitive financial rates and commercial terms due to established partnerships with banks, property agents and fitness equipment providers.
Anytime Fitness offers the most comprehensive support structure and training programme available to franchisees in the fitness sector. From the second a franchisee joins the network; Anytime Fitness’ new openings and development team works closely with new franchisees to help find them the perfect site for their new club. The opening process is overseen by a dedicated presales manager, helping franchisees capitalise on the all-important presale period and open with as many members as possible.
The support never stops and after successfully opening their doors, franchisees work with one of its dedicated Franchise Performance Coaches (FPCs), who have all operated health clubs at a senior level. Their ongoing coaching helps franchisees to run successful, profitable health clubs and maximise all revenue opportunities available to them.
Anytime Fitness is looking for potential owners who are passionate about improving the health of the nation and making a difference in people’s lives.
With a broad selection of franchisees with a range of different backgrounds, fitness experience isn’t compulsory and many of its franchisees choose to employ an experienced club manager to run their club. The club manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the club, with the role including sales, managing staff, ensuring the club is safe and clean and greeting members and prospects.
With joint venture opportunities and funding support available from major banks, you could be closer than you think to owning your very own health club.
New Franchisee Induction Training – Consists of eight compulsory modules, comprising face-to-face and virtual sessions. These sessions are delivered by Support Office staff and expert suppliers and partners. These modules add depth to our franchisees’ learning and are staggered at various times during their journey with us. The modules are:
Access to the network – Our Franchise Recruitment Manager actively encourages and facilitates tours of existing Anytime Fitness clubs, as well as providing introductions to franchisees. We schedule Discovery Days where existing franchisees are in attendance to network with prospects and provide real-life example of their ownership experience
Financial guidance and lending – Anytime Fitness works with the leading high street banks and asset financing companies. As well as offering bespoke lending rates, they provide resources to our franchise recruitment team to help provide advice and guidance on if and how they can raise the necessary capital
Property and location support – Franchisees receive significant support in sourcing their perfect club location. As well as benefiting from our development team’s own network of agents and landlords, clubs have access to leading real estate advisors. Alongside our own team, these agents can provide expert guidance and training, as well as using a network of connections to negotiate favourable commercial terms and save our franchisees money
Pre-sales support – Alongside their induction training, franchisees are supported and mentored by our New Openings Team to help ensure a successful opening. Our dedicated Pre-Sales Manager will make introductions to the wider Support Office team, ensuring they know the expertise available across sales, marketing, finance, and recruitment.
Weekly networking calls –A weekly call which brings new franchisees together to network ahead of their club openings. The calls provide a great opportunity to share best practice as well as keeping each other motivated and helping overcome any challenges they may be having. The calls regularly have a guest speaker from the Anytime Fitness UK Support Office or one of our suppliers or partners delivering a presentation and providing advice on specialist areas including digital marketing, PR, recruitment, training, and equipment
Corporate mentoring – Similar to the pre-sales mentoring, our dedicated Head of Partnerships & Corporate Accounts will visit the club to help them capitalise on the growing corporate opportunity. This involves observing prospect calls to local businesses, visiting the doorsteps of local businesses together and creating template emails to approach corporates
Regional calls – Franchise Performance Coaches will facilitate regional calls between franchisees to help share best practice. These calls help franchisees at different stages of their journey network with each other, further accessing the expertise available in the networking. Many take practical advice away these calls and apply it within in their clubs.
