Banana Moon started in 2006 after one of the directors had difficulties trying to find a high-quality nursery for their child. It soon became apparent that there were no high – quality nurseries that focused on both the children and their parents. Following this setback, the goal for Banana Moon was clear: to deliver a high standard of care that was affordable within a stylish and unique environment.
Putting children first is always at the heart of Banana Moon, as does building a successful business model. Based on the success of the original nurseries and the growing demand, the decision to franchise was made in 2010. Within the first year, 10 franchises joined up to create their own nursery, as Banana Moon rose from strength to strength.

The franchisee will be ready to commit to a long-term investment and typically invest a minimum of £100,000 in liquid capital reserves. We have good relationships with the main high-street banks, the majority of which will advance you up to 75% of the funding required. As a new franchisee, you will be given everything you need to really kickstart your nursery. You will get direct contact with the dedicated support team, full business and operational training, access to our advertising and marketing agency to promote awareness of your nursery within your community, and access to property search experts.
Our devoted support team will be there for you every step of the way, providing advice and assisting with the growth of your nursery. From creating a tailor-made business plan to assisting you in hiring employees and customers. Our abundance of early-year industry knowledge will provide you with the best setting for success and growth.
The day-to-day life of a franchise is determined by how involved the franchisee wishes to be. A franchisee may choose to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the nursery if they have prior experience. In every case, we will expect you to take responsibility for your business, even though you may not be working as the nursery manager.
The franchisee will be the lead of all the operations with the nursery. They will always strive to expand the business by promoting within the local community, building a great reputation, and sustaining and inspiring a team. Your role is to uphold the standards that Banana Moon nurseries adhere to.
