Basking Babies is a national franchise business offering sharing & support circles, pregnancy relaxation, baby massage & reflexology and baby yoga classes. Our current team of passionate, expert instructors offer both in-person and live online award-winning classes to support parents from pregnancy to pre-school.
All of our classes are relaxed, inclusive, fun and friendly. Creating a community for new and expectant parents is at the heart of all of our classes.
When Carla set up Basking Babies in 2012 her mission was to support and empower families through their early pregnancy journey and to support and empower women who want a successful, yet flexible business that truly works around family life. Her long-term vision is to support as many people as possible by having Basking Babies franchisees throughout the UK.

Carla is a Franchisor who deeply understands and cares passionately about the services that Basking Babies provide. Our classes are completely unique, designed by Carla herself using all her relevant training and experience. Carla is also a Chartered Accountant so has an in-depth understanding of running a successful business, enabling her to truly support and empower women to run their own successful businesses, whilst driving forwards the Basking Babies business as a whole.
You don’t need any formal qualifications to apply as all training is provided to enable you to achieve the necessary Basking Babies qualifications to deliver our high quality classes.
Whilst the background of our franchisees is diverse, all our franchisees are passionate about supporting parents in their early parenting journey and being able to run a successful business around their own families.

We are passionate about empowering women and mothers to be independent, successful, business women who are still able to put their family first.
Our franchisees all decide on their own timetables that work around their family life. They run classes on the days of the week that suit them and they choose the times that work for them.
Typically, most of our franchisees will run classes back-to-back on up to 3 days a week between school hours. Many of our franchisees also have instructors to run classes for them, enabling them to grow their business without having to deliver more classes themselves.
There are also opportunities to run evening and weekend classes, to offer one off events e.g. coffee mornings or parties, or to run private courses. So there is plenty of opportunity to boost your earnings over and above the regular classes.
Of course, there is admin time required too e.g. answering enquiries, dealing with venues and advertising. Admin time is kept to a minimum at Basking Babies though, thanks to our ever-evolving bespoke booking system!
How much you earn depends on how much work you put in, how much time you can commit, and how you decide to shape and grow your business. But the potential is huge.
The best thing about it is that you make a real difference to the families that come to your classes and that you can do all of this around your own family life. So if you want to go on holiday – you can, if you want to see your child in a school play – you can, if you want to be the person who takes them to and from nursery/pre-school/school each day then – you can!
