Established in 2004, we are the UK’s longest-running children’s yoga company. We offer a unique multi-sensory and creative yoga-inspired children’s activity class for children aged 0-11 across 3 programmes.
Baby Bumpkin 0-2 years
Tatty Bumpkin 3-7 years
Tatty Guroo 8-11 years.
We have been franchising for over 15 years with over 60 franchisees starting businesses in this time.
Long term objectives?
80% of our franchise network is in the UK. We also have some in the Middle East and Channel Islands. We are recruiting national and international franchisees.
When you become a Children Inspired by Yoga franchisee, we provide all the training you need to be successful.
Many of our franchisees come from an employment background and have never run a business before. With this in mind, we provide a full business training via Zoom over 2 days. In this training you learn everything you need from sales and marketing, to using our systems, and the basic ins and outs of being a small business owner including expenses, HMRC and much more.
We also have a successful mentor program, pairing all our new franchisees with an already successful existing franchisee as their mentor. We have found pairing you with someone in the field who has already experienced starting a Children Inspired by Yoga business from scratch to be very helpful and reassuring to new franchisees. The mentor session is usually weekly on the phone or Zoom or can be via WhatsApp or messenger depending on what is best for the mentee / mentor.
Finally, we train you and your future teachers in all 3 of our programs via Zoom. Each program is a 1-day training, followed by a portal of course work for you to work through and a practical assessment (again via Zoom).
There’s three parts to being a Children Inspired by Yoga franchisee.
Part one – teaching
This involves you teaching any of our three programs: Baby Bumpkin, Tatty Bumpkin or Tatty Guroo, in schools and nurseries, running birthday parties, private sessions, and festivals. Most of our franchisees teach at least a few classes a week, and especially in the early days you’ll be teaching regularly as you build up your base of classes.
Part two – business development
You will work on business growth a little each day. This includes:
Marketing: via emails, social media, and physical marketing such as flyer drops to schools and nurseries, advertising on local noticeboards and creating PR for local publications.
Sales: including calling and / or emailing schools and nurseries to arrange taster sessions, meetings and booking new contracts, running those sessions and meeting with managers, heads, and decision-makers.
Part three – small business admin and recruiting and managing teachers
