A proven home care franchise with scale and purpose

Healthy operating profits, award‑winning support and the chance to make a meaningful difference to how older people are cared for in the UK sit at the heart of the Home Instead franchise opportunity.

Widely recognised as the UK’s leading home care franchise, Home Instead combines a proven business model with a long‑standing commitment to high‑quality, relationship‑led care. With more than 265 franchise offices across the UK, supported by a 65‑strong National Office team, the network provides franchise owners with the structure, experience and support needed to build successful, sustainable businesses.

This depth of experience ensures franchisees are supported across all areas of the business, including Operations, Marketing, Quality & Compliance, Financials, HR, IT, Training and more.

The household name for home care

Established in the UK in 2005, Home Instead has grown into a widely recognised and trusted name in home care, supporting families and communities across the country.

As more families choose care at home, demand for high‑quality home care continues to grow. For Home Instead franchise owners, this means operating in a resilient and growing market, as homes increasingly become ‘the hospitals of the future’.

Home Instead’s ongoing growth reflects this shift, built on strong relationships across the wider care landscape and a reputation for reliable, high‑quality care.

Today, Home Instead is widely recommended, with a proven track record of quality, scale and long‑term performance.

Leading by example

Home Instead UK is led by Managing Director Ruth Brown, who works closely with franchise owners and the National Office team to ensure the network continues to deliver exceptional care while responding to the long‑term needs of the sector.

With a clear focus on quality, consistency and franchisee support, Home Instead benefits from experienced leadership and a collaborative culture. Franchise owners are encouraged to share learning and best practice while operating within a clearly defined and well‑established framework.

Training

Franchisees receive comprehensive initial training, designed to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to operate their business from day one. This is followed by structured, ongoing support and development throughout the lifetime of the franchise.

Training covers all key areas of the business, including leadership, compliance, recruitment, quality assurance and performance management, and is delivered by specialist teams with extensive sector and franchising experience. The model has been refined through more than 20 years of UK trading.

What will I do as a Franchisee

New franchisees join the Home Instead network exclusively through resale opportunities. With every UK territory now mapped and trading, this route enables incoming owners to step into established businesses that have often been built over many years, with existing teams, clients, and a strong local reputation already in place.

As a management franchise, prior care sector experience isn’t essential. However, the role is well suited to individuals with strong leadership capability who are motivated to develop teams, manage performance and grow a business using their existing professional experience.

Franchise owners benefit from full ongoing support, the strength of a nationally recognised brand and the shared expertise of one of the UK’s most established franchise networks, enabling them to build a resilient business in a growing and meaningful sector.
