From meeting the team to finding out about finance, you will be able to ask any questions you might have and see for yourself how their successful business model providing the highest quality home care, could deliver you the future you’re looking for. The Home Instead team always ensure there is time to discuss available locations, training, onboarding and the business model.

Franchisees have the benefit of a highly experienced 80-strong national office team which provides specialist and ongoing support including business development, marketing, care, quality, finance, IT and standards.

The Home Instead network shares the same ethos and passion for caring, not only for their own teams and their wonderful clients, but for each other.

Home Instead sets the bar high in terms of training offered to new franchise owners and their teams. This ranges from recruitment to ongoing guidance and development. They have created a roadmap to help franchisees navigate their time with Home Instead, their ambitions and ultimately their exit strategy.

Following the initial 6-month period, franchise owners have a myriad of opportunities for both their own development and their teams. Every franchise owner is assigned a Business Development Consultant at National Office who guides them with running a successful business.

Mentoring and coaching is also provided, there are various groups available for franchise owners to match their stage in the franchise journey, as well as national conferences, regional meetings, regular business updates, local owner groups and much more.

What will I do as a Franchisee

As the owner you will be responsible for the growth and development of your business, with the support of an office team and a care manager. You will of course have a proven and successful franchise model to provide you with the route to a successful business which is rewarding in more ways than one.

Franchise owners build and lead an amazing team, with exceptional Care Professionals delivering outstanding care for older people, so they can remain living in their own homes. Home Instead is all about people and at the heart is the clients we care for; this is the focus of your business working alongside your care manager.

Recruiting the right people is key to the provision of Home Instead care – making sure that Home Instead is the place everyone wants to work.

Networking and getting out into your local community are an important part of your role, spreading the message, being part of your local community and a champion for older people. This is important in building your client base, your caring team and also growing your key referral contacts.

Many franchise owners provide training such as dementia and scam awareness to families and local businesses and organisations – promoting the business whilst also giving back.

Initially franchisees run the business and tend to be more hands-on, as the franchise grows you may well bring in a general manager and senior team. Many Home Instead owners have gone on to become multi-unit owners establishing a centralised management team, people who are able to take over the day to day, so you can continue to lead and build your franchise.

 Daily Life of a franchisee

 As a management franchise, no care experience is needed. The owner is responsible for business growth with a team of highly trained Care Professionals managing and delivering the quality care.

Franchisees should be able to demonstrate:
