In Home Care began its journey back in 2011. The Directors’ loved ones required care at home, and the care provided to them was not adequate. In 2012 they set up a regulated domiciliary care company, providing all aspects of specialist care to the young adult and elderly alike, in the comfort of their own home. Unusually, supporting both the private sector and social services they now employ over 180 staff and successfully run four sites in Hampshire and West Sussex, they are set to turn over 3 million this year. All branches have been awarded a CQC ‘Good’ rating, and they started their own accredited social care training centre. In 2019 they began franchising; they now have six franchised areas.

Franchise Overview

From day one they knew the business would grow through franchising the model. After successfully launching three IHC branches themselves, they set the wheels in motion to franchise. To ensure they had the package right, they engaged the longest standing, and most respected franchise company in the business, Ashtons Franchise Consulting.

“We are thrilled to present a well thought out, ‘specialist care’ franchise package, which we offer with full ongoing support of both Directors and our dedicated franchise team.”

In Home Care will adopt the Management Franchise style, where the Franchisee runs the business, but does not directly deliver the services.

Training

Franchisees will be trained to achieve the same high standards at their dedicated training centre in Waterlooville or if appropriate at their respective offices with a combination of “on the job”, classroom, practical, and online training. Ongoing, committed support is provided to all franchisees.

What will I do as a Franchisee

As a franchisee, you will be office based overseeing the general running of the office, and ensuring your Registered Manager is providing sound leadership whilst creating a positive culture and compliant team. Your day to day involvement will be dependent on your own experience, for example some franchisees ‘choose’ to become the Registered Manager themselves, whilst others who have no direct experience in care, preferring to be more involved in other areas of the business, such as the finance and marketing. We are happy to discuss your own personal requirements.
