Jigsaw Arts was established in 1995 with a desire to pass on the joy of performing arts. The belief in the benefits of performing arts activities for children was the driving force in the creation of Jigsaw and the reason why Jigsaw has continued to grow and become a well established and high quality provider of children’s classes.

Jigsaw Arts classes are dedicated to developing performance skills, promoting self-expression and building confidence! Offering weekend performing arts classes to children aged 3 – 18 years, as well as Holiday Workshops and Birthday Parties.

Every student can benefit, in some way, from the performing arts. While some join us to build a firm foundation for a professional performance career, others do so to overcome their shyness or increase their confidence and social skills. However, what all students enjoy is having fun through drama, singing and dance classes, while making lots of new friends.

We really believe in the benefits of what we provide to young people. There is nothing we love more than hearing from past students and seeing how their performing arts skills have helped prepare them for life’s challenges whether they work in the industry or elsewhere.

As a franchising business, we have a proven track record and have crucially kept the family feel, which makes us so special.

Our goal is to create ‘A Place To Belong’ for our students, staff, franchisees and customers. We have over 35 Jigsaw schools in London, The Home Counties, in Cardiff and Oxford! With new Jigsaw franchising opportunities available across the UK.

The Jigsaw franchise model is beautifully designed, and allows creative professionals the opportunity to run a business without the fear of setting off on the journey alone.

All franchises promise great support. But at Jigsaw, our Founder and Company Director still takes a hands-on approach to training and nurturing our new franchisees. Nicola has lived and breathed this company and what makes it work so she will stand alongside you to make sure you succeed.

Our bespoke online booking and management system makes the day to day running of the business easy and you can stay on top of your administrative tasks, anytime and anywhere giving you great flexibility to fit your business with your lifestyle!

You could have a part time business provide you with a full time wage that fits around you and your other life commitments. For an initial licence fee of £8995 + VAT, a full capacity school (118 students) can make a profit of £30K per annum.

Training

As a new franchisee, you will be invited to complete the initial training week with our Company Director and Franchise Support Managers at our Head Office in London. During training, you will cover every aspect you need to run a successful Jigsaw Performing Arts School.

The training will cover:

– Our operations manual and policies
– How to use our bespoke online system
– Staff recruitment and management
– Venue hire and management
– How to market your school
– Delivering first class customer service.

You will leave the training week feeling motivated and confident to run a successful and thriving business!
Following the initial week, you will continue to be very supported by one of the franchise support managers as you get to grips with all areas of the business. They will always be available for 1:1 training sessions, advice and support. Annual visits, reviews and professional guidance. They are only ever a phone call away!

What will I do as a Franchisee

As the business owner, you would oversee the successful running of your school every weekend, delivering first class customer service ensuring every one of your students has a fantastic experience. The administration would be carried out during the week at times suitable to you. You would also be in charge of the marketing and staff recruitment of your school, and booking in customers using our bespoke online system.

A Jigsaw franchisee provides performing arts classes for students aged 3 – 18 years at a venue on the weekend. Each school has either a morning or afternoon session on Saturday or Sunday.

Our 3-4 years and 5-6 years students attend a 90-minute session with a specialist performing arts teacher. Our 7 – 18 year olds are divided into three age groups and attend for 3 hours, enjoying an hour of each, dance, drama and singing with three professional teachers.

You may already work in the performing arts or have more of a business background with a passion for theatre and performance. We welcome applications from both. The only requirements are a passion to work with young people and make a difference, a desire to succeed and a hard working attitude. We know this is a winning combination.
