Jo Jingles is one of the UK’s longest running providers of fun music, singing and movement classes for babies and young children. With the help of Jo Jingles, our teaching doll, trained Franchisees and their Class Teachers run weekly classes in over 750 locations throughout the UK and Ireland.

Founder Gill Thomas first started running classes in her local community in 1991, having been disappointed by the lack of musical activities for her own two pre-school children. Classes were so successful they led to the launch of the Jo Jingles franchise in 1995. Now we’ve been operating for over 25 years, the Jo Jingles Franchise continues to appeal to well-organised and highly motivated individuals, who are looking for opportunities to combine flexible working with a rewarding and challenging career.

Since September 1995, the Jo Jingles network has expanded considerably and continues to grow across the UK, Ireland and, in more recent years, Australia. Jo Jingles has successful grown a large community of like-minded professionals from a range of backgrounds, who all work collaboratively to share ideas, information, experience and insight. This has ensured classes continually evolve and develop to offer a quality, engaging and fun experience for everyone.

Split into different age groups from 3 months to 5 years, our interactive music, singing and movement classes are delivered during termtime in nurseries, children’s centres and schools. There is also the option to run additional sessions during the holidays and parties for any type of celebration.

Training

Onboarding Training

Jo Jingles offer comprehensive, on-going training and support to all new franchisees. Starting with an initial 5-day induction programme at HQ, franchisees will gain the skills and knowledge required to run their own thriving business.

The training programme consists of 8 key areas including:

  1. A detailed introduction to Jo Jingles and its philosophy
  2. Jo Jingles company guidelines
  3. The key fundamentals of running a business – administration, book-keeping and accounts
  4. How to set up and sell classes
  5. How to run classes, what’s involved, presenting and programme
  6. How to run baby classes
  7. Marketing Jo Jingles branding and available merchandise
  8. Insight into additional business opportunities and revenue streams – nurseries, parties, children’s centres, special needs and play centres.

On-going Training and Support

Once the initial training has been completed, franchisees will experience on-going support in a variety of forms:

  • In-class training from experience franchisees
  • One-to-one business advice from HQ
  • An appointed local mentor
  • Online network to liaise with other franchisees and share ideas
  • Regular group training
  • Access to professional designer to create promotional assets
  • A bank of generic promotional resources – posters, flyers, labels etc

Jo Jingles are committed to providing a high level of support to all franchisees. We have built and continue to build, a successful community who are equally committed to supporting one another, above and beyond what HQ provide.

What will I do as a Franchisee

Mornings

Head to first class around 9am to allow time for room setup including Jo Jingles posters, class themes and merchandise displays, ready for a 9.30 start. The mornings are filled with 45-minute classes which typically take place in local halls, function rooms and play centres.

Midday and early afternoon

Catch up on emails that have come in during the morning and respond to missed calls, all whilst grabbing lunch on the go!

Head to nurseries or early years venues who have requested Jo Jingles classes as part of their music programme – It’s a great selling point for nurseries to offer to parents and carers of children at pre-school venues.

Mid afternoon

The day ends around 2pm when all instruments are given a thorough clean ready for the next day. Catch up on daily admin including responding to customer enquiries and online bookings for classes and parties.

Twice a month it is recommended booking in longer admin sessions to spend time planning and setting up key marketing activity for the business including social media posts, local advertising and meeting venue managers for new potential class locations.
