Rustico was established in the historic town of Hastings on the south coast of England in 2015, the business grew and by 2023 there are 9 Rustico eateries covering communities along the south coast.
Rustico is a traditional pizzeria and Neapolitan eatery offering fresh and authentic Neapolitan food, available for dine in, delivery or takeaway. Our eateries represent the Neapolitan values in making everything with simplicity.
The menu itself is designed around authentic recipes, throughout the years we have developed and implemented techniques and procedures to simplify the whole production. For consistency purposes the key dishes are prepared in our central production kitchen, others can be prepared on site on demand.
Our food development team constantly work to ensure that our menu items reflect our brand and business values offering authentic Neapolitan food at great prices.
The menu is designed in such a way that little skill or effort are needed to finish off and serve most of the dishes on the menu. Pizza obviously requires more skill and practice but the baked finish product is superb. We ensure that every dish is prepared, cooked and served in the Rustico way in a systemized process that takes time and effort to be perfect from the recipe planning, which our franchise partners will be a part of the planning process to the food preparation process , which our franchise partner will be fully trained in within our existing estate.
The interior of each eatery consists of mismatched chairs, old wooden doors and corrugated iron cleverly crafted together to create a warm and comfortable environment. All our sites are located predominately in neighbourhood or local high street locations.
The typical Rustico customer varies and is based upon the location, for example Brighton attracts younger customers, Hailsham is more families and couples and Bexhill being a mix of older customers and walkers. The varying customer profile means that Rustico range is appealing to a wide range of individuals.
As well as our dine in customers we have a healthy demand for collection and delivery services. Historically using home delivery platforms such as Deliveroo, Uber and Just Eats, however as costs of these platforms increase we continually search and resource other methods to drive customers direct to order from us for home deliveries and take aways. Our central operations team are constantly reviewing the market place and new opportunities for tech to drive sales in this sector. We have moved to a new download App from the google and app store that gives us the facility of push notifications and marketing for those customers who order once in a while, offering discounts that still, with these discounts gives a higher profit level than orders through third party platforms.
