ServiceMaster was first established in the United States in 1929 and came to the UK in 1959 when at first, we only offered carpet and upholstery cleaning services. Since then we’ve grown into a specialist cleaning company that offers services for both the domestic and commercial markets, with disaster restoration services plus janitorial / office cleaning services.
Under the ServiceMaster Clean brand, we offer 4 different franchising opportunities. Many of our franchisees have built their businesses over time, not just by adding more territory area, but also by investing in further licenses, enabling them to offer a range of complementary cleaning services, under 1 name.
With the UK cleaning market worth an estimated £5.6bn, whilst it may not be glamorous, as the saying goes “Where there’s muck, there’s brass!”
Whichever ServiceMaster Clean opportunity is right for you, your journey begins with a two week comprehensive training programme, devised to give our newest recruits the expertise and confidence to begin their new business venture.
This intensive training is based both at our Franchise Support Centre in Leicester, and remotely, depending on the modules being delivered.
The academy subjects include: Daily Operations, Sales & Marketing, PR, Business Planning,
Insurance, Customer Service, Products / Equipment, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Brand Management System / CRM, Employment Law, Recruitment, GDPR and Data Protection.
Our training does not cease on completion of the academy, ongoing training is provided throughout the length of the franchise agreement. We run regular workshops, webinars and 1-2-1 training if required, either on-site or at our Franchise Support Centre. Our objectives are simple, to recruit, train and develop our franchisees so that they, and their business, achieve their full potential.
ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services: B2B, you’ll provide regular and daily commercial cleaning, on a contract basis. We operate in both the public and private sector with industries including retail, leisure, education, healthcare and more.
ServiceMaster Clean Commercial: B2B, building relationships with local businesses, you’ll deliver
carpet, upholstery and hard- floor cleaning and maintenance. Services could be one-offs or part of a regular maintenance programme.
ServiceMaster Clean Residential: Ensuring an excellent standard of service, you’ll carry out an expert clean of carpets, upholstery, rugs and hard-floors, for your residential customers. Initially, the business will be owner-operated so you’ll be working with us on sales and marketing plans but also visiting your customers home, to provide their required service.
ServiceMaster Restore: Our franchisees not only salvage and clear up the after effects of fires and floods, they also help with smaller unexpected disasters occur in the home. With Restore there is no job which is too big or small, our franchise owners have seen it all!
