High end Pilates Studios engaging state of the art equipment, digital support systems and video coaching, operated by fully qualified Pilates Instructors and owner managers fully trained by SPI. Started in Australia in 2010 with franchises in New Zealand China and the USA.

The business is owned by Jade Winter an ex Australian Olympic swimmer and his wife and co-Founder Tanya. Tanya is a qualified physiotherapist and together they have built two organisations – This first is the largest Pilates Instructor training school qualifying 2000 students a year in varying levels of Pilates. The second is a network of Studio Pilates International franchises in 5 countries. Our objectives are to build on this success across English speaking countries and grow the Brand to 300 – 500 studios in the UK. Half of our existing franchisees own more than one studio and as of July 2022 there has never been a business failure or bankruptcy in our network. We have grown slowly and steadily and very selective in our franchisee onboarding process.

Training

Studio Pilates International has a separate company training over 2000 Pilates students a year at varying levels, we can claim to have a World Class education process with an entirely separate team of specialists to conduct the franchisee & staff only training in Pilates Platinum (our dedicated program). We conduct training from our central Academy in Brisbane but also “on site” as studios open in remoter locations and we also have dedicated regional trainers and mentors. An entirely separate business training program is also provided and is mandatory for all franchise owners – it lasts a week + and runs after the Pilates Instructor training program consisting of 40 hours online Anatomy, 60 Hours of Pilates theory, 50 hours of on site training and mentoring and ongoing instruction via our SPTV network in every studio.

What will I do as a Franchisee

Our franchisees take two basic forms: The Owner Manager who is not a Pilates Instructor but dedicates at least 3 days a week building the business, networking in the community and handling administration outside the admin services SPI provides its franchisees. The other is an Owner Instructor who typically undertakes half of the week instructing and the other half management tasks.
