SureCare offers franchise opportunities in the rapidly-growing domiciliary care sector. Our Franchisees support their local communities with person-centred care services in the home, to encourage and affirm the dignity and independence of their clients.

Whilst the majority of our home care services are delivered to individuals over the age of 65, SureCare’s range of available services allow franchise operators to benefit from multiple revenue streams across personal care and support for all ages. Many of our Franchisees have developed their service offering to include care for children, as well as adults living with physical disabilities, complex health conditions, or behaviours that challenge. In addition to these specialist care services, SureCare Franchisees can also provide a range of non-regulated domestic support services, such as companionship, light household chores, and even shopping services for those who may find it difficult getting out and about.

SureCare was founded in 1994 and is proud to demonstrate over three decades of experience in this specialist sector of domiciliary care. Our network presently consists of more than 70 franchises operating across the UK, with further expansion plans on the horizon.

SureCare Franchisees are supported by an expert Business Development team, who provide assistance in regulated care quality and compliance, as well as commercial development and growth. Franchisees benefit from a tried-and-tested business model to enter the market, and they enjoy full access to SureCare’s established brand identity and existing range of marketing and promotional materials.

Prospective franchisees will have a strong work ethic and the right passion and drive to deliver a quality service. Previous experience in the health or care sector is not necessary as SureCare offers a management franchise. However, ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate compassion and excellent people skills, as they will lead their team of care staff by example to provide reputable care services to potentially vulnerable people living in their local area.

Training

New Franchisees will undergo a rigorous onboarding process, which includes a two-week long induction course – one week delivered virtually and one week of “classroom-based” presentations and discussions, held at our Head Office in Chester, Cheshire. This induction course covers key areas of operation, such as: business planning, understanding cash flows, registration and compliance with the national care regulator (e.g. CQC in England, Care Inspectorate in Scotland, etc.), policies and procedures, commercial development, care worker recruitment, sales and marketing, and the benefits of networking with local businesses and organisations.

The training doesn’t just stop once the initial induction is complete. SureCare continues to provide Franchisees – new and already established – with refresher webinars in key areas of operations, business development, finances, recruitment, and more.

All Franchisees are supported by two Regional Managers, who work collaboratively but each have their own individual focus:

  • The Regional Quality Assurance Manager ensures Franchisees continue to operate in a safe and compliant manner. They keep Franchisees informed of changes in regulation, legislation, and best practices in the care industry.
  • The Regional Commercial Manager works with Franchisees to boost local marketing activity, identify opportunities within the private care market, and provide guidance on achieving commercial growth.

What will I do as a Franchisee

A typical SureCare Franchisee would be predominantly office-based, however there will be plenty of times when they will be required to be out and about in the community, networking with local businesses, organisations, charities, and healthcare providers. The Franchisee will be involved with sales and local marketing for the business, and is responsible for making key decisions to ensure business growth whilst maintaining a high quality of service.

From the outset, SureCare Franchisees will enter into an agreement which includes details of their own geographic territory to establish and manage their business within. Whilst this territory is protected, there may be occasions where collaboration with Franchisees in neighbouring territories can have viable and strategic mutual benefits. We welcome and encourage such collaboration within our franchise network, and we are always happy to provide assistance and guidance where possible.

The first key member of staff the Franchisee will employ will be the Registered Care Manager. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly, by managing care staff, managing rotas and care calls, ensuring care quality and compliance is maintained to a high level, and ensuring out-of-hours calls are handled quickly and effectively. The Registered Care Manager will be the Franchisee’s “right-hand person”. This means it will be necessary for the Franchisee to work closely with their Care Manager on a regular basis to keep driving the business forward.
