What will I be doing?

Most of your work would relate to property sales, developments, remortgages and repossessions for both residential and commercial markets. As such, the property search industry is almost entirely business-to-business, and your client base will predominantly be legal professionals.  Regardless of whether the property market is going up or down, our franchisees enjoy a steady stream of business.

You will also have access to an extensive range of additional products and services to enhance your business and the support you can provide.

X-Press Legal Services’ clients are legal professionals and franchisees are able to develop lasting relationships with long-term clients who come to rely on them.  A healthy business is typically made up of 10-20 solicitor and conveyancer clients.

You will receive exclusive rights to a territory in either England or Wales aligned to local authority areas where we have identified real potential. Dorset is currently available.

The company is proud to have established its own bespoke onboarding and training programme  entitled X-Press Academy. The Academy Programme is endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) with attendees qualifying for ILM Certificates.

What will I do as a Franchisee

Tom Mannion, X-Press Legal Services franchisee for Central, North West and South West London, provides specialist property searches and reports to solicitors and conveyancing professionals on a daily basis.

Tom is the youngest franchisee in the network, joining the leading property search franchise after working in a London estate agency after leaving university.

Tom comments: “Most of our work involves providing key information such as flood risks, planning issues and mining reports relating to property sales, developments, remortgages and repossessions, for both residential and commercial clients. All the tools and products we use to provide this information are available through our Intelligent Conveyancing Online System, a bespoke online ordering platform providing, which is constantly being updated and innovated to move with the market.

“I start my day by logging into our case management system, which gives me access to everything I need. After checking my emails, prioritising any urgent tasks and replying to queries, I log in to check any new orders.

“Once I have called and requested the information for each property, I then check and collate the data, before sending the completed searches to my clients. Attention to detail is a must, as these reports are vital to every property transaction.

“I don’t spend all day sat in front of my computer though. I love getting out and about, travelling to various local councils to obtain data, as well as visiting clients.  Managing my own business means I get really stuck into my marketing and networking, as it is how I manage my connections, gain new clients and demonstrate the great work myself and my team do daily. I spend time managing my social media channels, attending online webinars and connecting with my network.

“My business also gives me a huge degree of flexibility with my time and work, meaning I can work where and when I like whilst still achieving growth.
