Kitchen retailer Granite Transformations has developed new support tools for those taking on its franchise opportunity as it looks to capitalise on the growing trend of the kitchen becoming a focal point in many of the UK’s homes, and a corresponding increase in average kitchen size.
Part of the Italian-based Trend Group, Granite Transformations now has its own dedicated iPad design app, iGranite, which serves as an invaluable sales tool for showroom staff. Franchisees can also take advantage of unlimited memory storage via the group’s cloud computing network, CloudPro, for instantly accessing marketing and product information anywhere in the country, or in the world.
The franchise has also redeveloped its UK consumer web domain, including the provision of franchisee micro-sites, and has revamped its main product brochure and sales leaflets to promote the entire range and fresh makeover solutions. It has also restructured its central call handling facility, for the efficient forwarding of customer enquiries to franchised showrooms, and engineered its own Hub intranet database, for password-controlled access to all things GT. In addition, it has just recruited a profit coach to help franchisees tighten up accounting procedures and improve profitability.
“The amount of time people now spend in the kitchen is prompting them to upgrade and extend their existing layout, revamping the décor and adding must-have features like island units,” says chief operating officer, Danny Hanlon. “This is a growth market that our franchise owners can readily tap into and we also anticipate demand for bathroom, shower and utility room makeovers, where our finishing materials work equally well.”
Trend Group’s worldwide connections with international architects, interior designers and property developers maintains an ever-evolving product range to ensure a continual stream of fresh colours, designs and materials for its franchise showrooms, including shortly a new recycled porcelain collection.
Granite Transformations currently has a network of some 45 franchisees in the UK, and leading by example, the Group CEO is himself a Granite Transformations franchisee.
