“As a way to drive additional sales in the New Year period we held our annual January sale, which enables customers to take advantage of a 20 per cent discount on plantation shutters,” explained company founder Chris Rocker.
“The response this year was absolutely terrific – even better than we expected. In fact, members of the network together smashed the previous all-time monthly record and all our established franchisees exceeded their personal monthly targets over a week early, which is a fabulous achievement.”
Sarah Gale, owner of the Just Shutters Essex franchise, commented: “January was an incredibly busy month for me, but all the hard work was definitely worth it. My husband and I even went out for a meal to celebrate hitting target one week ahead of schedule. What better way to start the year?!
“February was another good month too, so I’m really optimistic that 2013 is going to be a very good year.”
Chris highlighted marketing activity, product quality, value for money and customer service as crucial factors in explaining the growth, adding: “The conversion rate for our established franchisees remains extremely high – about 75-80% – and there are many reasons for this. I believe the impressive figures show that the training and ongoing support members of our network receive helps to deliver success.”
The company also cites the housing market slowdown in the UK as a contributor to increased demand, with fewer buyers and less construction than previously experienced in this country meaning that people are tending to spend money on improving their homes for the long-term.
