November 26, 2019Darlington-based languages school owner, Lucy Cass, is celebrating five years of teaching languages to children.
Lucy worked as a secondary school languages teacher for many years before branching out for herself and joining the national children’s language franchise, Lingotot, which delivers classes to over 20,000 children every week through a range of community classes and primary-school based lessons.
Lucy said, “I decided I wanted a job, that was more flexible and family friendly and I love delivering our fun and interactive sessions to children from birth to age 11. Primary schools, nurseries and parents also love what we do!”
Her customers certainly agree! In her five years in business, Lucy has taught about 6,000 children who all love the Lingotot programme and of course Lucy!
One parent said, “Lucy’s sessions are engaging and interactive and always so well prepared, generating amazing interest from the children. It’s incredible how much knowledge little ones pick up during such fun play. My daughter has been attending Lingotots sine she was 10 months old, and has thoroughly enjoyed it from the start. We’d highly recommend it to anyone.”
However classes are not just limited to family sessions. Lucy also teaches in local schools and nurseries. Mr. Goodchild, Assistant Head Teacher at Great Smeaton Academy Primary School said, “The children have thoroughly enjoyed a more practical, active approach to learning French. The activities are done in a fun and active way with focus on speaking the language and conversing to their peers. All in all, a good investment to get the children speaking a foreign language.”
Building on her success, Lucy has signed with Lingotot for a further 5 years so she can continue to do the job she loves. She added, “The last 5 years have flown by. I have loved running Lingotot Darlington and feel incredibly lucky to have found out about them and have the chance to work with them. I am really excited to see what lies ahead for my business.”
