Mac Tools adds new franchisees to network

Two more franchisees took to the road at the end of July following three weeks of training with Mac Tools. Launching their exclusive territories are Adrian Griggs in Ipswich and Craig Thorne in Bristol.

Adrian has spent 22 years as a crew manager in the fire service and was the leading firefighter appliance driver, as well as having worked in the motor trade for 27 years! He explains why he chose to give all that up to run his own franchise business: “I want to build a secure future for my family and having spent many years using Mac Tools, I’m confident that I can do that with products that I love and believe in. This franchise gives me the chance to be in charge of my own destiny.”

Craig has also spent a long time in the motor trade but as a motor technician for 19 years. He said: “I use Mac Tools on a daily basis and they are the brand that I trust. I wanted to develop my skills and taking my knowledge of tools within the automotive industry and my enjoyment of interacting with people as a base, and then adding the Mac Tools training and support, has given me a great opportunity to start my own business. I chose Mac Tools against other tools franchises as I think they have a stronger product group.”

The new franchisees join a UK network of over 100 distributors and have completed their training within the UK and at the Mac ‘Tool School’ in Ohio, USA. During their launch and opening weeks, they’ll receive hands-on support from a regional franchise manager and regular support from a dedicated team of staff at the European headquarters in Sheffield.
