What Pip doesn’t know about franchising probably isn’t worth knowing! With 25 years’ experience in the franchise sector, her career has been focused on the BFA and she now leads one of the most successful franchise associations in the world. Pip’s vision for the BFA is very clear: to maintain & strengthen standards, provide educational opportunities that influence success and to ensure the wider promotion of franchising.

The BFA team is passionate about franchising and aims to provide a bespoke customer experience to help you, your brand and teams connect, learn and develop within the franchise industry.

Emily leads the BFA Academy and her top priority is building out a comprehensive and valuable programme of education, training and support to the BFA’s members and those considering starting their franchising journey. She also drives the promotional activity of the association to raise awareness of franchising to a wider community.

As well as supporting Pip with her daily responsibilities, Emma uses her passion for planning and organisation to look after the central team and make sure it’s meeting the demands of the wider business. She’s also the key liaison with the association’s finance function and is guardian of the BFA’s internal HR systems and employee onboarding.

A seasoned franchise professional, Simon sits at the head of our Operations team looking after our standards, membership recruitment and retention, and compliance. He is also responsible for overseeing the connection of Members through a portfolio of community learning events.

Gabrielle is the BFA’s visual brand ambassador and is responsible for designing content across BFA channels. With a creative approach towards the design process, she develops concepts and themes for events, and looks after the continued development of the website.

Jo manages the larger strategic projects to ensure that the BFA continues to grow and develops our ideas into reality. Jo loves a process (and a spreadsheet!) and implements to streamline how we work and become more efficient for our members, supporting the academy and business support teams.

Clair spearheads the BFA's marketing initiatives, ensuring seamless alignment with our brand essence. Her role encompasses overseeing the BFA’s communication channels with proactive outreach, she builds strong external relationships and supports membership and BFA Academy development.

Marketing & Communications Manager
Jessica oversees the BFA’s social media presence along with our marketing campaigns, making sure that the association’s online presence aligns with our brand identity. She also works with the BFA Academy team to boost awareness of business format franchising and education.

Larisa is highly experienced in events with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. She makes sure that the planning and execution of events and activities runs smoothly and successfully. Her strong organisational skills and attention to detail, make her well-equipped to handle the diverse and dynamic demands of her role.

Donna has spent many years working in franchising, project management and organising events. She now takes her experience and her passion for connecting people and sharing franchising knowledge to ensure the smooth execution of all Academy training, educational and member events.

Andy guides franchise brands through the BFA’s accreditation process so spends most of his time knee deep in training manuals, company accounts and franchise agreements. Stress testing franchise business models is what he does best! Andy’s mission is to continue to strengthen the association’s standards and compliance.

Will’s focus is on building relationships with the BFA’s customers. He strives to ensure the members feel supported and are making the most out of their membership, while guiding those who are considering franchising to the appropriate places to expand their knowledge on the industry.

James thrives on creating strong relationships to ensure customers feel supported and at the heart of the BFA’s work. He heads up our Franchise Support team with a strong focus on building trust, adding value for our members and maximising their engagement.

Codie sits at the heart of the Franchise Support Team ensuring the smooth running of the community learning events and providing the much-needed administrative support to the association’s compliance function.
