Wynne HughesAfter 20 years in employed roles, Wynne followed his lifetime dream of becoming his own boss. For years he wanted to start his own business, but couldn’t find an opportunity he was confident in.  Then in 2011 he ventured upon the Betterclean Services franchise, and the rest is history!

Wynne explains: “I chose to take on a franchise mainly because of the blueprint. I wanted a business that I knew would work well and a franchisor who had laid out all the information and developed a strong support system. It’s like stepping into a car that you know works, with a full tank, that has passed its MOT!

“I rated Betterclean way above others that I investigated. The team are easier to talk to, the systems are excellent and the business deals with clientele that I have had experience with in the past.”

Wynne lives in West Glamorgan with his wife, his 13-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter. He met his wife on a blind date and they have now been married for 14 years. In his spare time, Wynne enjoys spending time with his family and dog. He regularly takes his son to watch his favourite football team, Swansea City, and enjoys family bike rides and skiing holidays.

He believes Betterclean Services is a great opportunity and ended his franchise search after doing his due diligence on the company. He felt he could benefit greatly from the professional qualifications that come with the business and found the structure of the recruitment process to be very good.

With his Betterclean Services business up and running, Wynne plans to continue to grow the business and is not ruling out the possibility of investing in a second territory, whether it be adjacent to his Swansea area or involves commuting to somewhere else. He is also considering the option of buying other cleaning companies in his territory to expand his business further in the future.

He concludes: “I would recommend franchising to anyone, but make sure you do your due diligence. Betterclean Services has a product that all businesses need, all year round, no matter what the economy is doing. I only wish I had made the step sooner.

“Having your own business is a completely different feeling to when you are working for someone else where they are calling the shots. I am now in charge of my future and with Dan’s [van Kuyk, managing director] roadmap to keep me on track I’m looking forward to building a profitable business.”
