Finishing touches are made to the International Franchise Week programme
February 13, 2017
International Franchise Week is coming to London this year! Held on 16th-17th March, it is a once in 20-year’s occasion, and an event that’s not to be missed! With speakers and franchisors from around the world coming together at the prestigious venue of the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, it offers delegates the chance to learn more about the ins and outs of franchising both in the UK and internationally.
Our keynote speakers include Aziz Hashim, IFA Immediate Past Chair, Managing Partner, NRD Capital, LLC. Talking about Franchising, Leadership and Global Growth, Aziz will join us to share his journey into franchising and how it provided him with the platform for development, from starting with one location to be one of the top 200 franchise operators in the US.
Christian Fruleux, International Developer, Decathlon, will talk about his experiences developing franchising in African countries and how this has differed from his experiences of franchising elsewhere in the world. He will also cover foreign investment and developing legal strategies in foreign markets to suit commercial strategies.
Paul Thompson, Founder, Water Babies, UK, will be our keynote speaker on the second day of the symposium. Talking about his experiences and the challenges that he faced, he will aim to give you a real life account of global expansion. He will be discussing what drove him to expand globally and what help he sought throughout the process?
Our Gala Dinner on the Thursday night will also be joined by Gavin Hewitt, BBC News Chief Correspondent. His after dinner speech includes rich anecdotes from his front row seat at many of the world’s major events. As the BBC’s former Europe Editor, Gavin was one of the leading commentators on the Eurozone crisis and the European Economy and is able to offer a unique and important insight into the key issues, the politics of Brussels, and the challenges involved in Europe returning to growth.
With many more speakers over the course of the two day event, it is one that’s not to be missed for anyone wanting to learn more about the franchise industry or thinking about expanding internationally.
