Cymphony has announced the appointment of Emma Burkitt as Head of People and Culture. Emma has significant experience in the hospitality industry, having held senior HR positions within the public and private sector over the last 20 years.
As growth in demand for its services continues to drive expansion, Emma will take a lead to establish Cymphony as one of the best employers in Crewe and Cheshire, further investing in its people and teams to add even more value to the services it provides.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting organisation. The team here have been extremely welcoming, and everyone is passionate and incredibly driven to take the business to the next level. Cymphony already has some of the best people in the business working across a number of different areas, and I’m really looking forward to building on this and continuing to do the best by our employees. The current recruitment climate is very competitive, so it’s more important than ever that we continue to attract, develop and retain talented people,” explained Emma.
“Having worked in HR roles for a number of leading hospitality brands, including Malmaison, DeVere Village and Principal Hotels, I have been integral to the recruitment and development of several teams involved in restaurant openings and large-scale hotel refurbishments. With my proven track record, I’m able to transfer my excellent skills in customer focus to this new sector and ensure the team continues to provide the best service to their customers. Employees’ needs are the same wherever you work, and I’m here to make certain everyone at Cymphony has a voice and the opportunity to thrive.
“As Head of People and Culture, I’m at the forefront of Cymphony’s values and will focus on further developing the business’s culture, as well as establishing ourselves as a successful commercial and trusted employer brand. I believe that a great company culture sets the foundations for real, tangible business growth, and it involves trust, respect and the opportunity for employees to participate in shared values and love what they do,” added Emma.
As Cymphony embarks on its next stage of growth, Tim Morris, Managing Director of Cymphony, said: “I am delighted that Emma has joined us. Her appointment not only facilitates our ongoing development plan, but also our ambitions for growth across multiple sectors. We are now well positioned to achieve our goals to provide a world-class inbound and outbound customer experience for businesses, whilst creating an environment where our staff can develop and grow. It’s clear to see that Emma is highly motivated, with great integrity and an excitement for developing and valuing a workforce that we can continue to be proud of.”
