Franchise Network and Support Team Growing Together

In July, Caremark welcomed two more ambitious business owners to its thriving network. To support their ever increasing franchise family, the brand also enriched its support team with the arrival of two more franchise and care industry experts.
The Caremark franchise opportunity attracts prospects from a multitude of backgrounds. Though most have varying skill-sets, what they all share is a desire to build a profitable business whilst making a real difference in people’s lives. Caremark prides itself on being a business opportunity with a conscience. And that’s one of the many reasons why the network continues to attract not just franchisees, but staff and customers too.
Latest recruits, Robert Johnstone and Amit Mehta, both came to the business after very different but equally successful careers. Robert, 59, spent the last 30 years in the retail sector at director level, supporting a number of prominent high-street brands. In 2018, after decades of corporate service, he decided it was time to focus his time and energy on building a business of his own.
“After a lot of research writing to and talking to several other franchisors I came to the conclusion that Caremark had the best model with the added benefit of the lowest monthly franchise fee – I’m still a businessman after all! On top of that though, Caremark has a great culture so in the end, it was an easy decision to make.”
Both men are keen to utilise the opportunity to become the go-to service provider in their local areas. Whilst Robert launches his Cambridgeshire-based business, Amit, together with his wife Shipra, is hoping to make Caremark in Hounslow a household name.
From day one, franchisees are taught that in order to provide a great service to their clients, they must build a culture of value, loyalty and pride amongst their office and care staff. The brand’s latest Culture Campaign, launched earlier this year, is designed to foster an ethos of togetherness across the whole company, from Acting Managing Director, David Glover, to each franchisee and every care worker out in the field. It’s this innate culture that appealed directly to Robert and fits perfectly with his own ideas of business:
“Over the next five years I will set up and grow a business where people will feel valued, have the opportunity to develop their careers and be part of a like-minded team. This will allow me to offer a great service to people in need within the local community. On a personal note, I want to build the business to support my family financially. In this day and age, I think it’s pretty special to be able to do both at the same time.”
To help support the now 100-strong network across the UK, Caremark proudly welcomed Bev Regan and Paul Matthews into the field support team in July. With over 30 years’ experience in franchising, Bev brings the added benefit of having been a highly successful franchisee herself, for more than 18 years. Passionate about best practice and solving business issues, Bev will empower franchisees at all stages of their journey to take their businesses to the next level.
Paul brings with him decades of care experience. Having started his career at a grass-roots level, he has held positions from Registered Manager, Area Manager and Team Leader in various care companies, arming him with invaluable experience and a true understanding of franchisee’s businesses. In his later career, he specialised in the business development and strategic growth of new businesses in the sector. Bringing together his vast skill-set, Paul will support franchisees to perform at their best.
Caremark’s Acting Managing Director David Glover says “By continually adding this level of experience and knowledge to our support team, we’re ensuring our network of dedicated business owners always have the opportunity to learn and grow.
