The Stoke-on-Trent headquartered accountancy group, DJH Mitten Clarke, have seen high-growth, having completed a merger and three other acquisitions since 2021, including Manchester’s Lloyd Piggott, Baker’s in Walsall and Novis & Co in Leeds. The rebrand of Chester’s Morris & Co will further enhanced the groups presence in the North West.
Morris & Co Director, Desirie Lea, said “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for us to fully join forces with DJH Mitten Clarke and become the Chester office for the Group. We have managed to achieve great things together in the last two years, and we feel like now is the right time to build on our partnership.
“Taking on the DJH Mitten Clarke name will further strengthen our infrastructure, allowing us to fully align our technology, systems and processes. It will also provide our franchisee and franchisor clients with direct access to in-house specialist advice including tax advisory, capital allowances, R&D and commercial funding. Ultimately, enhancing the service that we offer.”
Scott Heath, Chief Executive Officer, who leads the 275 plus DJH Mitten Clarke team commented, “We have seen tremendous growth over the last 12 months, and I’m thrilled that Morris & Co will further support us to achieve our ambitious goals for 2023 and beyond.”
Scott added, “The partnership adds to the specialist advice and knowledge we offer across the group, with Morris & Co bringing expert specialist teams, who are Professional Advisors of the British Franchise Association (BFA), and can support clients within the franchise sector, to help develop the legal and operational frameworks needed.”
Desirie will continue to lead the team based at Cheshire Oaks Business Park, alongside fellow Director, Chris Shaw.
The Chester office will undergo a major refurbishment and modernisation project which will start in the coming weeks.
The partnership comes just two months after the Group announced the rebrand of their Leeds office, formerly known as Novis & Co.
