Chester based specialist franchise accountancy practice, Morris & Co have announced that they have taken on the DJH Mitten Clarke name, two years after their acquisition by the UK top 50 accountancy group.
The Stoke-on-Trent headquartered accountancy group, DJH Mitten Clarke, have seen high-growth, having completed a merger and three other acquisitions since 2021, including Manchester’s Lloyd Piggott, Baker’s in Walsall and Novis & Co in Leeds. The rebrand of Chester’s Morris & Co will further enhanced the groups presence in the North West.
Morris & Co Director, Desirie Lea, said “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for us to fully join forces with DJH Mitten Clarke and become the Chester office for the Group. We have managed to achieve great things together in the last two years, and we feel like now is the right time to build on our partnership.
“Taking on the DJH Mitten Clarke name will further strengthen our infrastructure, allowing us to fully align our technology, systems and processes. It will also provide our franchisee and franchisor clients with direct access to in-house specialist advice including tax advisory, capital allowances, R&D and commercial funding. Ultimately, enhancing the service that we offer.”

Desirie will continue to lead the team based at Cheshire Oaks Business Park, alongside fellow Director, Chris Shaw.
The Chester office will undergo a major refurbishment and modernisation project which will start in the coming weeks.
The partnership comes just two months after the Group announced the rebrand of their Leeds office, formerly known as Novis & Co.
