Amid a record-breaking year of growth and a 70% increase in its turnover, More Than Loft Ladders (MTLL) has now opened its own in-house training facility at its brand-new headquarters in Long Eaton, Derbyshire!

After moving into a new location, just up the road from its old shop front on Long Eaton high street, franchise director and owner Liam Hobbs was keen to utilise the larger space and centralise its training to one location.

“MTLL prides itself in providing unbeatable training and franchise support for new and existing partners,” explains Liam. “Our new headquarters allows us to grow our head office staff and streamline our top-level training and support for our partners”.

The new training facility features mock-hallways and landings (which are even carpeted!) as a blank slate for new partners and staff to practice their new skills. “It allows them to make mistakes, learn from them, and inevitably gives them the confidence to enter people’s homes and provide our usual five-star service that our customers expect from MTLL”, explains Liam. “It proves that our system is robust enough that you don’t need any prior experience to start your own lofting business – just a strong work ethic and willingness to dive in!”

As well as the ‘hallways’, there is ladder rig designed to demonstrate the use of several types loft ladders, before trainees learn to fit them in the makeshift ‘landings’. The facility also includes an area to train new partners to board around roof trusses, as well as integrating shelving and roof lining into customer’s lofts.

Special guests including colleagues, friends, and family attended MTLL’s recent launch event, gathering in their new boardroom and bar area. There was even a special appearance by MTLL’s beloved mascot Larry (despite the heatwave!), who cut the ribbon and officially opened the next chapter in MTLL’s success story!
