Professional Vehicle Cleaning company PVC Vendo has received its Continuous Improvement Award following a WorkBuzz Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmark report.

Founded in 1981 and franchised in 1989, PVC Vendo is a professional vehicle washing company. Franchisees visit depots to wash commercial vehicles.

PVC Vendo was bought by Taylor Made Franchising in 2018. Taylor Made Franchising now owns, or part-owns ten franchise operations, StumpBusters, PVC Vendo, Wilkins Chimney Sweep, Iconic Window Cleaning, Thomas Cleaning, Mister Tacho, Women in Business Network (WIBN), Broadway Wine, Wagging Tails and Chemex.

The Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmark report is provided by WorkBuzz, a leading independent franchise consultancy. It works by inviting existing franchisees to participate in an anonymous online survey, asking them 31 questions about their franchise ownership experience.  Using a consistent methodology, the franchise is assigned an overall Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark score. As PVC Vendo has improved its score for two consecutive years, they have been given a Continuous Improvement Award.

In 2022 PVC Vendo franchisees scored the franchise a 71% satisfaction score, up from 59% in 2021.

Franchisees are anonymously surveyed on the six key dimensions of the business, training and support leadership, the franchise system, value and rewards, culture and relationships and general satisfaction.

Managing director of PVC Vendo David Callister said: “We have worked hard to address some of the issues raised in our last FSB survey, which has shown in the improved results this year. We introduced a steering committee of franchisees, who now have a hand in decision-making for the network; we also have regular regional meetings for all franchisees. We find all these meetings extremely useful, and our network tells us they do too. I am delighted to see that amongst improvements in many areas, the survey records our franchisees as feeling that we have shared goals and that they feel valued and respected.”

David continued: “Having not long celebrated our 40th anniversary, PVC Vendo is a much sought-after franchise. Testament to this is the six father and son teams we have either still working together or in a business that has been handed down from father to son. When a family buys a PVC Vendo franchise, they rarely let it go. Unusually for a franchise, we source some national contacts for our franchisees and have recently introduced more local marketing initiatives for franchisees. We still have a few PVC Vendo territories available and would recommend the franchise to anyone who is looking to build a strong, profitable business with the support of an experienced franchisor.”
