For the first time in its 100-year history, Snap-on Tools has reduced its start-up costs to just £9k. In direct response to the increasing challenges faced by prospects in today’s economic landscape, the tool giant aims to make its extraordinary franchise model even more accessible to prospects of all ages and backgrounds.

“We believe everyone deserves the chance to change their life and achieve their dreams,” says UK Managing Director, Byron Miltz. “This 2025 incentive is designed to help people do both.”

The 2025 incentive sees start-up costs reduced to just £9k plus working capital. “That just means the money you need whilst setting up your business,” explains Miltz. What’s more, Snap-on is one of the only franchisors in the UK to offer funding assistance to its franchisees through an in-house finance programme. Snap-on offers a business loan to prospects to help fund the purchase of their franchise and, as part of the new incentive, this includes 2 years’ interest free.

“Our aim was to remove as many barriers as possible, be it initial cost or ongoing affordability. The strength of our model has been proven for more than 60 years in the UK and 100 years internationally – we want more people to be able to benefit from being a part of it.”

As a multi-award-wining brand Snap-on Tools consistently pushes the envelope in the realms of franchising. Crowned the UK’s number one franchise for a fourth time and for the third consecutive year in 2025 in the Elite Franchise Top 100, Snap-on offers franchisees unprecedented levels of training, support and ongoing opportunities for growth as part of a nearly 400-strong network.

Many franchisees join Snap-on with little to no experience of the tool trade, and most have never run a business before. “That’s no problem!” says Miltz. “We look for individuals with great people skills who can build relationships with customers and have a passion for selling.” After that, the brand’s training and support programmes equip franchisees with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to run their own business. Then it’s down to hard work and determination to reach their potential. In 2024 franchisees had average paid sales of £400,682 – and there are no percentage-based royalty fees to pay.
