bfa Provisional member, thespaCLINIC (formerly spa810), welcomes the opening of its first franchised clinic in Chester following the launch of the pilot clinic in Harrogate, North Yorkshire in early 2019.

The franchise provides non-surgical results-driven aesthetic treatments to meet the growing demand from both and female clients who are wanting to invest in treatments that help them maintain confidence in their skin and body.  thespaCLINIC only use FDA-approved devices to carry out the treatments due to their effectiveness, safety and reliability.

The franchisees who own and operate the new clinic in Chester are sisters Carys & Mari Stephens who, having had careers in teaching and working in HR departments at their local county council, were keen to start their own business in a sector that has always been of interest to them.

Commenting on taking the step to owning their own business, Carys says “It’s always been a dream of ours to work together in our own business within the medspa sector. It was important to us to have the structure of a franchise model to follow as we saw first-hand how beneficial this is to our brother’s gym business.”  

As Mari continues, “Since committing to the franchise, the support throughout all aspects of the business has been fully delivered on and now we’re very excited about bringing thespaCLINIC treatments to Chester!”

Having been involved in franchising for over 20 years, including being twice voted on to the bfa’s Board of Directors, Duncan Berry reflects on the journey to reach this point, “It’s been fantastic to see the brand take its first steps with the energy and enthusiasm that Carys & Mari have bought with them.  They have been fantastically patient and persistent whilst we have been securing the premises in Chester given we were working through the pandemic for large parts of it.  To now have our first franchisee is fantastic and to see the pipeline looking healthy for the rest of the year is hugely encouraging for thespaCLINIC brand.”
