Home Care franchise Home Instead, is delighted to announce that their COO Ruth Brown, has been named ‘Ambassador of the Year’ at the NatWest EWiF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) awards 2023.
This year these much-anticipated awards took place at the NatWest building in Central London with over 140 franchising professionals coming together to applaud the successes of women from a variety of franchise sectors.
EWIF is a not-for-profit organisation, providing advice and guidance to women looking for a route into the franchise industry. Their mission is to educate, inspire and empower women considering or involved in franchising through a network of Ambassadors.
Helen Mansfield, Managing Director of EWiF, says, “The rising numbers of women finding purpose through running their own businesses, fully supported by their franchise, is a real joy to see! We’ve been encouraging women to see franchising as a viable route for business success since 2008. This year, we’re thrilled to have awarded Ruth Brown of Home Instead for her contribution to franchising: Her entry really showed how much she contributes to our industry. She’s a very worthy winner!”
Ruth has worked in franchising throughout her career and is dedicated to the development of the Home Instead brand and its people. There is nothing she enjoys more than introducing new franchise owners to the network and seeing their progression and success.
She continually champions franchising and sits on the board of the British Franchise Association (bfa) and is a passionate spokesperson on ethical franchising. Ruth is also an active trustee of Home Instead Charities UK.
During her time at Home Instead she has been involved in over 300 individual franchisees joining the company, commenting on her win, Ruth said: “I feel super proud and honoured to have received this recognition at the EWiF awards. To have been presented with the ‘Ambassador of the Year’ award means so much. For those who know me they know how much I love franchising, and how it can transform the lives of so many people.
Congratulations must go to all the incredible winners and finalists and many thanks to the EWiF team for organising such a great event!”
