Leading pizza franchise Papa Johns has opened on Campus in Heslington at the University of York. The store creates more than 15 local jobs, and the new team will serve-up fresh Papa John’s pizza to students as well as welcoming and delivering orders to the local community too.
Around 22,000 students study at The University of York, known for its inspirational teaching and ground-breaking research across 30+ academic departments.
Heslington Papa Johns is run by multi-unit franchisee Mr Hussain who also manages Papa John’s near Manchester and in Bradford. Mr Hussain himself, comes from an academic background and previously managed: ICT, Business Studies and Computer Science departments as head of faculty at another educational establishment. He says: “Opening on campus has been the subject of discussion for a while. It’s great that our plans have now graduated, and we are fully open for business!

Mr Hussain has agreed to open four further Papa Johns in the North of England next year, creating around 60 new jobs in the region.
