Online strategy pays dividends for Martin & Co.

Martin & Co. have reported a record result of £2.7 million in fee income in June; £100,000 more than in any previous month. They are also on track to hit their ambitious growth target of in excess £33 million in fees over the next 12 months.

Total letting numbers are up 12% from last year, and the brand has increased their portfolio of managed properties by 3,143 in the past year.

In these uncertain times, keeping a business afloat can be a tough task, but a combination of  Martin & Co’s new on-line strategy and their experience of over 15 years of successful franchising are proving a success. The web strategy includes a quarter of million pound investment in on-line technology and web development for this year alone, which will be of direct benefit to its franchise owners.

Local franchise business owners have embarked on an aggressive crusade educating landlords about the benefits of using a specialist letting agent over an estate agency with a lettings arm. The franchises have been winning valuable instructions.

The result has seen Martin & Co. being rewarded with the latest piece of independent research from Greenlight, the SEO and PPC consulting firm, which positioned www.martinco.com as one of the most visible letting agent websites for natural search results. It also ranked the site as the top letting agent site when searching using generic lettings keywords. Only the major property portals were ranked higher.

The firm recognises that success in the current climate is not to be taken for granted and has worked hard to develop its online presence. Combining web strategy, joined up thinking, good practices, agency skills and customer care provide the Martin & Co recipe for success.
