OSCAR Pet Foods launches it’s own pet training academy, after successfully putting many of its franchisees through a Level 3 Companion Animal Nutritional qualification.
OSCAR Pet Foods has become a registered training centre in its own right so it can deliver and award specific pet welfare qualifications with the full backing of ABC Awards and the OFQUAL regulation authority.
Simon Bartholomew Franchise Director at OSCAR Pet Foods said:
“Following the positive impact on sales of many of our franchisees taking the Level 3 Companion Animal Nutrition qualification and the many great comments from our customers, who value the expert advice they now receive it seemed logical to become a registered training centre in our own right.
“OSCAR Pet Foods have always cared deeply about helping customers look after their pets and the launch of the OSCAR Pet Academy of Welfare ensures they stay at the forefront of pet care, leading the way in standards for the industry.
“The first course on offer is the Companion Animal Nutritional course that results in a Level 3 OFQUAL regulated qualification similar to the standard of training required to be a veterinary nurse. The first direct intake of students at the PetAcademy of Welfare are due to qualify this summer joining the franchisees already qualified and benefiting from the increased knowledge and sales already achieved.
“ In time the Pet Academy of Welfare will be able to offer other modules and other qualifications in many areas of pet care helping our franchisees build confidence and expert knowledge so they can continue to help our customers care for their pets.
This is an exciting development for OSCAR ensuring that standards of advice continue to grow within our network of franchisees and the industry as a whole.”
