Papa John’s Dover Delivers Fresh Store & Fresh Location

Papa John’s re-opens in Dover after a five-year absence with a new team, fresh store and fresh location.  The Dover Papa John’s at St. James Retail Park will now be run by experienced multi-unit franchisee Amir Afzal, supported by a store manager plus a new, locally recruited and trained team of fifteen.

Amir Afzal who also runs Papa John’s in Folkestone in Kent comments:  “Dover is a great town and now we have been able to secure a prominent, central location with plenty of parking, we will be delighted to deliver our great pizzas made with only the freshest, finest ingredients to the local community.”

Amir continues:  “The Dover store has been fitted out with the new Papa John’s branding which is bold, fun and welcoming.  For us, pizza is all about sharing and so we will be presenting some exciting opening offers for our new customers.  I mean, who can resist the treat of pizza shared with friends and family?   It makes any occasion memorable, and our new team will be happy to add to the fun by delivering something to tempt everyone!”

Amir previously ran his own successful travel agency in Singapore for five years and, prior to that, worked for Levi’s® in Pakistan as a Human Resource Executive for ten years before joining Papa John’s as a franchisee in 2017.  He explains how running multiple stores offers a number of advantages:  “Economies of scale when it comes to ordering, marketing and also recruitment can offer a competitive advantage.  However, securing a great location is essential too. The best thing about being a Papa John’s franchisee is the support to source the perfect site plus all the training and resources offered to get stores up and running successfully.  There is always the opportunity to add more stores as the company continues to grow too.”

Amit Pancholi UK director of business development, Papa John’s confirms:  “We been aiming to re-open in Dover for some time and so the new store location represents a fresh start for the new team in charge.  Together they now have all the ingredients for success, and we wish them well for the future.”

For those interested in running a multi-unit Papa John’s franchise or opening-up in a ‘non-traditional’ location such as a holiday park, leisure venue or sports stadium, incentives are on offer in addition to world-class support, comprehensive training and national marketing.  As a franchisor, the Company supplies all the assistance needed to get your successful Papa John’s up and running.
