Right at Home celebrate franchising anniversary with network awards

Right at Home UK, providers of home care for older people and adults with physical disabilities, celebrated their one-year anniversary in franchising by presenting two new company awards to high-flying franchisees at the company’s first annual owners meeting.

The growing network of UK franchisees enjoyed a busy agenda, which reflected on their progress and achievements of the past 12 months and looked ahead at business development, building sales and maximising the support available through the franchise system.

Even Team GB’s Olympic medal winners, who provided such a source of inspiration over the summer, played a role as the group discussed the importance of developing a winning mentality.

UK managing director Ken Deary said: “I am very grateful to our franchisees for their ideas, input and above all their fantastic enthusiasm.

“It was a superb day. We heard stories of early successes and bounced a lot of ideas off each other. The feedback has been exceptional, with franchisees saying how motivating they found it, how much they learned and how much time has been saved by sharing ideas in this way. One owner told me ‘some of the sales figures and successes that have arisen in such a short time are truly inspirational – it sets the bar for what we can all do.’”

Tim Haigh, owner of Right at Home (Sutton & Epsom), received the 2012 UK Ambassador Award, while Richard Turner, owner of the Cheltenham to Malvern branch, received the Fast Start Award for the impressive level of care hours he has accrued in his first four months of trading.

Ken commented: “Tim has just passed the 12-month milestone and his sales are surpassing the projections. He is growing his team of carers and developing his office, bringing in fantastic turnover. He has done an excellent job in building his business and is a worthy recipient of the first Right at Home Ambassador Award for the hard work he’s put in, his support of the system and the assistance he has given to other franchisees joining, or considering joining, the group.”

Expressing his joy at winning, Tim said: “I’m delighted to receive the award – it’s a reflection of the hard work that my team and I have put in, and a validation of the Right at Home system that has enabled me to get as far as I have in the time I’ve been trading.”
