The popular children’s football academy, Kixx, have announced that Doncaster Rovers hero, James Coppinger, has joined as a Kixx Franchisee and will be starting his own Kixx Football Academies towards the end of the summer.
Kixx started in Doncaster around 8 years ago and the brand have since gone from strength to strength with 10’s of thousands of children attending Kixx Academies across the country.
38 year old footballer, James Coppinger, will be opening up a Kixx Academy in the Middlesborough area and sees this project as an exciting step in a career:
Coppinger said: “I’ve been watching Kixx develop for a few years now and have seen all the great work they have been doing with children in Doncaster and across the country. It’s a great reminder of how football should be played when you’re a child, just having fun with friends, and playing with a smile on your face.
“My career has spanned 20 years, and over that time I have learn’t so much from my experiences, the good ones, and the bad. This is a great opportunity to help children in Middlesborough and other fantastic areas of the north east. It’s a career move that’s motivated by making a difference to children’s lives and for me, that is one of the most rewarding things we could ever ask for.”
Kixx Academy Founder, Ben Hunter, was equally as delighted with the news and see this as a great moment for Kixx:
“We are thrilled to welcome James Coppinger as our newest Kixx Franchisee and it’s a fantastic testament to the work our team do at Kixx.
“To attract a person like James, who will still continue to play professionally at an extremely high level, truly showcases how far the brand has come, and the impact Kixx continues to make. We can’t wait for the academies in Middlesborough to launch and showcase what Kixx is all about in the North East.”
