Sandler Training names Franchisee of the Year, receives Forbes praise

Lisette Howlett, based in Cavendish Square, central London, has been named as the Sandler Training Franchisee of the Year. The award recognises Lisette’s outstanding contribution to the overall network that she has been a part of for four years.

Sandler Training now has over 250 franchisees across 27 countries, creating a wide-ranging network rich in both experience and expertise. The sales tips contained in CEO David Mattson’s book The Sandler Rules: 49 Timeless Selling Principles and How to Apply Them recently received warm praise in an article on the influential Forbes magazine’s website in the US.

“The award is a great honour,” commented Lisette. “But, really, I don’t think I’d have been able to achieve any of the success over the past year if I hadn’t been in my clients’ shoes. Like many of the people I encounter, I too was once what I call a ‘reluctant salesperson’ – someone who did not grow up wanting to be a salesperson but knows they need to hone these skills. And, like me, the majority end up loving it.”

Lisette’s down-to-earth approach is typical of the Sandler Training culture, say the franchise, of sharing practical tips and tools to improve sales and management processes, empowering team members to get better results.

“I understand that, to improve and succeed, you have to be completely out of your comfort zone,” Lisette explains. “And that goes for me too. The [franchise network] conferences are a fantastic opportunity to look at your personal goals and challenge yourself to keep improving. That’s one of the great things about being part of the Sandler network – the support and encouragement to keep developing and learn from others means you can transfer this enthusiasm to your clients.”

Fiona Thompson, operations director of Sandler UK, said: “Lisette is a very deserving Franchisee of the Year. Within the Sandler network we have a concept we call ‘abundance mentality’; Lisette personifies this as she helps others without looking for personal gain and without any fuss or noise. She has more common sense than probably anyone else I know and will share her many practical, replicable systems with other franchisees and UK central office alike. If that wasn’t enough she is also very funny and great company.”
