Seven mums tackle work/life balance by becoming Creation Station franchisees

Creation Station has welcomed seven new franchisees to the network, all of whom are mothers who were looking to improve their work and family life balance.
Neela Jackson from Manchester was recently made redundant and decided she wanted to take control of her own work pattern. Claudia Watt from Milngavie and Melanie Dawson from Morden decided to change their long work hours and commuting time to gain more family time.

Jackson explained: “When I was made redundant, I decided it was time to do something I really wanted to do, to turn the situation into an opportunity and ensure that I wasn’t going to be a victim of the government cuts. I didn’t know a great amount about franchising but I contacted a business support centre who put me in touch with Franchising Works, who encouraged me to research the franchises.”

She continued: “I had a huge WOW moment when I came across The Creation Station franchise – I didn’t realise that this opportunity even existed! I’m passionate about creativity and education and I could see it would work around my family really well. I worked with Franchising Works and The Creation Station who helped me to secure an interest free loan for my business. I have just completed my training and have classes running in 2 weeks. I am so pleased, I have turned this into the perfect opportunity for me and my family.”
Sarah Cressall founder of The Creation Station and mum to three said: “I created the business in 2002 to give me the work life balance I wanted for my family. I continue to be delighted when we can provide others with this flexible and rewarding opportunity that is now working for so many people across the UK.”
