Swimtime makes waves at UK Digital Experience Awards

When Swimtime heard the news they were finalists in the UK Digital Experience Awards back in April, the team was over the moon! The awards, which celebrate digital excellence and innovation, recognise the ways digital technology is used to enhance customer experience. 

Three months later and Swimtime is the proud winner of not one, but two, Digital Experience Awards. At a glittering awards ceremony in London, it won Gold in the Transport, Leisure and Tourism category as well as being crowned the Overall Winner on the night. When you’re competing against household brands like Sky, BT, Virgin Trains and EE, that’s no mean feat for a growing British franchise.

Swimtime’s owner, Theo Millward, and Operations Director, Rachel Brooks, collected the awards on behalf of their team. 

SwimCloud – a bespoke digital platform
The recognition is for SwimCloud, an innovative digital platform, which manages every aspect of the customer journey from booking to delivery. It manages all communication, payments, teacher planning, lessons, child attainment, Health and Safety requirements as well as digital marketing and advertising.

Although every single one of the Swimtime team contributed to the success, special credit goes to Digital Projects Manager, Ryan Brown, who masterminded the design, development and implementation of SwimCloud. 

It has revolutionised the way the Swimtime business is run and transformed customer experience – it’s pretty special!

Our Swimcloud platform is truly ground breaking, delivering a world class digital experience to our customers and swimmers helping us teach some 20,000 learners every week. We are the first in our sector to deploy such advanced technology including Machine Learning; to see the implementation and our results be recognised against such an outstanding field of major companies, many with vast budgets was a true honour and something neither I or my team will forget in a hurry.” says Theo Millward, Managing Director, Swimtime.

Being recognised in this way is a huge boost for the Swimtime team who are rightly very proud of their success. But there are still many more exciting, innovative projects to be delivered for this growing business.  

Swimtime would like to offer huge congratulations to the other finalists in their award category: Sixt, Transport for Wales in partnership for ORM, Blue Leaf, and Valtech in partnership with the Department for Transport.
