Swimtime is celebrating after being shortlisted in a top national competition. The franchise, which teaches private swimming lessons to children and adults at hundreds of sites across the country, has been nominated in the What’s On 4 Junior Awards 2013.
The Swimtime group is hoping for votes from customers and fans alike as it aims to win the ‘Best National Activity for children aged 5 to 12’ category. It’s up against 11 other companies for the title.
The company will be looking for a double scoop, with Lancashire franchisee Richard Wilson nominated for the north-west’s ‘Best Local Activity for the Under 5s’.
Swimtime founder and owner Linda Price said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for this award. How we operate our franchising is very important to us, but it is even more crucial that we’re getting it right for our customers – the fact we’ve been nominated is a nod that we’re keeping our clients happy and it would be fantastic to win this award.”
Linda launched Swimtime in 1997 and it is now one of the largest independent swim schools in the UK, with 22 franchisees and 240 swim schools. The company offers swimming lessons to groups as well as private 1:1 sessions.
Every children’s activity, party venue, entertainer and volunteer from throughout the UK had the opportunity to be nominated. The winners will be announced by TV celebrity host Lucy Piper at Brighton Racecourse on Sunday 30th June.
