Team Rev making waves with yet more awards short listings

In June, the team at Rev PR was proudly shortlisted for the prestigious CIPR (Chartered Institute of PR) Excellence Awards. A national programme that celebrates the very best professionals the UK. Now, ‘Team Rev’ are celebrating not one, but two more impressive award shortlistings.

First up are the Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA) and Rev PR is in the running for the Creative Industries award. Founded in 2012, the GBEA celebrate more than just a company’s balance sheet and bottom line. Recognised by the UK Government and judged by some of the top names in business, the programme looks at the culture, values, service levels, results and innovations of entrants in order to determine its shortlist. GBEA representatives said that this year, there’s been a record number of applicants across its eight regions – over 4800!

“We couldn’t be more proud of the team,” says Rev co-founder, Sally Anne Butters. ‘Well, not unless you include the others award short listings too! It’s been one heck of a year, but we’ve always done our upmost to deliver outstanding results and to support our clients, come what may. We’re absolutely over the moon to have been named a finalist out of so many amazing organisations.”

Still on a high from the news of the GBEA, the team at Rev PR then got the call that they were also shortlisted as a finalist in ‘PR Agency of the Year’ at the UK Agency Awards. The UK Agency Awards are judged by leading, in-house, industry experts in marketing, communications and advertising which means they’re not a popularity contest they are simply won by merit, talent and expertise. Unlike a lot of other awards programmes, the UK Agency Awards don’t split businesses into size by financial turnover or number of employees, if you’re good enough to be in, you’re in – regardless of how big or small you happen to be.

“Or how niche in Rev’s case!” says Rev co-founder, Lucy Archer. “The fact that we’re now being recognised as a specialist Franchise PR agency alongside some of the largest and most well-known agencies in the country is incredibly exciting. We’re so committed to delighting our clients that we always felt we’d do well in any awards programme under normal circumstances. But 2020 wasn’t normal, and we’re still not quite there yet. Our approach over the last 18 months has been different, sure, but for us, it was the right – and therefore the only – thing to do.”

In early 2020, Sally and Lucy invested in a business coach to propel Rev forwards but when COVID hit, and as lockdown became a reality no-one had ever experienced before, Team Rev made it their mission to support franchise businesses to survive and even grow through the pandemic.

Our belief was that only by supporting one another, working together and acting selflessly, could we all come out the other side. This approach has resulted in growth way above target and we feel it’s cemented our reputation as ethical, passionate professionals in franchising,” adds Sally.

Winners will be announced in September at a mix of virtual and in-person events culminating with the prestigious UK Agency Awards held at Montcalm Marble Arch in London. Everyone at Rev PR – Sally, Lucy, Kelly, Jacob, Olivia, George, Harry and Andy – are looking forward to dusting off the glad rags and making the most of their first outing together once again as a team! Prosecco anyone?
