The benefits of franchising: The bfa gets its message across in Your Business magazine

The bfa has given input into the latest edition of Your Business magazine, a premier business print publication and online platform targeting SMEs, business owners, aspirational businesspeople and decision makers on why the future is franchising. 

The edition includes a double page spread explaining why going into franchising could be the right move for you, highlighting the benefits, as well as another double page spread with specific messaging from the bfa around the future of business being in franchising, titled ‘The Future is Franchising’. 

For the piece on why franchising is a great option in general, the magazine interviewed Emily Price, Head of Operations at the bfa, who explained that franchising is a good option for all involved as everyone has a vested interest in making the business work. She told them: “…if they [the franchisee] invest their money and put in on the line, they’ll have more drive to succeed. The franchisor also gets the benefits of the investor’s money, while the franchisee gets a good brand and ongoing investment in product development and innovation.” 

Price also talks about making sure the franchisor has a good reputation, doing your own due diligence and seeing if it is bfa accredited. 

Wilkins, as part of our ‘The Future is Franchising’ messaging, focuses on the importance of training and education for the success of the sector, writing a piece explaining what needs to be done to become a successful franchisee and whether it would be the right fit for you, as well as tips for franchisors in finding the right franchisees. 
This key message of the future being in franchising continues from an ITN series in collaboration with the bfa, entitled, ‘The Future is Franchising’, taking numerous case studies and themes, as well as an interview with Wilkins, showing how much franchising puts back into the community and how it can be a great business option. The magazine is available on shelves of most major supermarkets and magazine providers for three months after publication, with each issue coming out around every nine months. Its complete print run is just under 300,000 copies, also distributing copies to small and medium sized companies that hit certain criteria, and through other avenues.
The July edition includes insights from guest editor James Caan, a former dragon on Dragons’ Den and successful entrepreneur. It is a 356-page publication, covering pretty much anything and everything to do with business.
