The Massage Company was proud to sponsor and attend the National Massage Championships, which took place on Sunday 3rd-4th October 2021 at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in Kensington, London.
At the show, TMC co-founders Charlie Thompson and Elliot Walker presented on the benefits for working in massage, while advocating the benefits of a massage career for aspiring and existing therapists.
“We’re pleased to promote our mission to make the massage industry more attractive through better recruitment and better training,” said Thompson. “The National Massage Championships has been a fantastic springboard for promoting the benefits of working in our industry”.
A team of TMC therapists rolled up their sleeves to compete against over 100 participants in both the freestyle and Swedish/Deep Tissue competitions. Meanwhile, the company was delighted to see that more than 100 specialised massage therapists and 50 interested students signed up for the TMC Training Academy – the company’s new training service for massage therapists – at the event.
Every academy recruit undergoes extensive training covering specialised and general massage, with regular feedback and development from our skilled and experience team of qualified massage therapists.
“Through the TMC Training Academy, we’re happy to bring massage training to the masses, getting huge numbers of registrations from students as well as from qualified massage therapists who want to work for us in the future across our franchise network,” said Thompson.
The Massage Company aims to change the perception of massage, from a ‘once-in-a-blue’ moon experience to an accessible, affordable, and transformational therapy undertaken as part of a regular health and wellness regime.
