Tutor Doctor Welcomes Nine New Franchisees Nationwide

Tutor Doctor is celebrating the arrival of nine ambitious new franchisees into the brand’s ever-growing network. These nine business-owners have opened offices across the length and breadth of the country as the franchise continues to take its offering to new heights. From serving families and providing work to local tutors, each franchisee will sit at the heart of the community, helping students to achieve their full potential.

Unquestionably, Tutor Doctor’s mission is to make a difference in people’s lives – franchisees, clients, their families and the tutors they work with. A combination of personal satisfaction and financial rewards creates a huge attraction for professionals from all walks of life. The brand’s industry-leading training programme ensures franchisees are in safe hands throughout every step of the process – from signing on the dotted line to securing their first client, recruiting their first tutor and beyond.

Tutor Doctor has a sincere drive to change the trajectory of student’s lives,” explains Kelly Couling, when describing her and her husband Matt’s passion for investing in the franchise. “It combined our business and education experience to give us a real boost when starting out. It’s always been a dream to give back to our community and Tutor Doctor allows us to do that.

After intensive training, including a week in Toronto, the couple launched their Windsor-based franchise in August. Having decided to change their own lives, Kelly and Matt were also committed to playing an active part in changing the lives of others too. Together with their new colleagues, they now form part of the 60-strong UK network that continues to cement Tutor Doctor’s position as one of the fastest growing home-tutoring franchises in the world.

Tutor Doctor caught the eye of the business-minded couple as they embarked on their franchising journey together. From his own previous experience, Matt knew only too well the pressures of running a business alone and so, the couple felt that investing in a franchise was a perfect solution. Becoming a Tutor Doctor franchisee gave them the stability and support they sought, as well as a personal preference of a flexible home-office environment.

After a career in the military, I started an outdoor education business six years ago which now has a purpose-built centre. Kelly was a PE teacher and Head of Year at a local private school so our skillsets just worked. Our backgrounds meant that we could direct our expertise into making the business thrive,” says Matt.

Matt and Kerry have grand plans for the future as their passion for success is growing every single day. “The first month has been difficult for us, as you’d expect with any new business, but like they say, it’s a marathon and not a sprint. We are most looking forward to achieving a perfect work-life balance and income to support our family.” Kelly adds.
