Wilkins Chimney Sweep is celebrating having reached 10,000 reviews on Trustpilot, with 97% being graded as ‘excellent’ by satisfied customers.
The franchise, which is part of Darren Taylor’s ever-expanding Taylor Made Franchising Group, reached the landmark figure early in December 2020.
Wilkins Chimney Sweep was founded by Tom Wilkins in Newbury in 1895. Wilkins was franchised in 2011 and has been a member of the British Franchise Association ever since. Today it is a successful franchise operation with 15 franchisees operating across 18 territories. Franchisees sweep chimneys and fit cages caps and cowls to the chimneys of commercial and domestic properties.
They have also recently celebrated their most successful month since records began, taking over £207,328 up from £174,746 for the same time in 2019, with a 16% increase in numbers of chimneys swept.
General manager Richard Bryan, himself a former Wilkins Chimney Sweep franchisee, said,
‘Everyone at Wilkins head office and at Taylor Made Franchising is truly delighted about the Trustpilot reviews. To reach 10,000 with a 97% ‘excellent’ rating is a huge achievement and one we are really proud of, especially as many of them have been written during the coronavirus pandemic when our franchisees have been having to wear additional PPE and work within social distancing measures to keep themselves and their customers safe. It shows their professionalism and respect for customers and their properties, which is something we strive for on a daily basis. We are truly proud of them and could not have asked for a better Christmas present.’
Franchisor Darren Taylor, owner of Taylor Made Franchising who purchased Wilkins Chimney Sweep in January 2018 said,
‘As a franchisor it makes me so proud to see these reviews. Sweeping chimneys is, by its very nature, a grubby job, it is also hard work and requires skill and strength, so to see that that many customers thought they did an ‘excellent’ job is such a great tribute to each and everyone one of the franchisees and I’m delighted for them. Keep up the good work’!
