I’m proud to have been the first Rhythm Time franchisee. I was previously a Secretarial Tutor but gave this up in 1992 to start a family. I always enjoyed playing the piano and also sang in a local choir, so when I took my children to Rhythm Time, I could see straightaway the quality and benefits of the classes. The founder of Rhythm Time then recruited me as a class leader to run some of the local classes in Solihull.
When my family relocated to Cheshire, I was offered the first ever Rhythm Time franchise and I jumped at the opportunity. I was passionate about wanting to work for myself and running my own business and this gave me the perfect chance to achieve some of my career aspirations. I managed a team of excellent class leaders and assistants to help me deliver our award-winning and popular classes. As you’d expect from running a business, it was hard work, but the financial rewards made a real difference to our household income and lifestyle. It also gave me a great deal of personal career satisfaction and the flexibility of being my own boss.
The Franchisors and the Head Office team work tirelessly to keep Rhythm Time fresh and up-to-date and keep the business relevant in today’s market. Training is excellent, and screencasts are available on the company’s internal website which provides 24/7 access. The dedicated Head Office team provide excellent support.
Initially, I chose this career as it worked brilliantly around my young and growing family – when my children grew up and left home, it still gave me an enormous buzz! I’m extremely proud of what I achieved at Rhythm Time, and I have now moved on from being a Business Owner to a Business Coach for Head Office – I thoroughly enjoy being able to support other Rhythm Time Business Owners as they grow and develop successful businesses of their own.
