I started working as a tutor of Maths and Science for one of Choice Home Tutoring’s franchises in 2022. Being in a position to help inspire young children to realise their potential had a very positive effect on me, particularly as CHT’s core values really aligned with my own. Their care for tailoring the tutoring to the endless variety of needs, learning styles and life situations of the younger generation helped me see that every child deserves the chance to excel in their own way.
So, when the opportunity to open a franchise with Choice came along, I felt compelled to grab it. After meeting with the franchisors, the decision to start my franchise journey became clear. Jo and Colin were truly welcoming, their openness to hear my story and my ideas further cementing my determination to become a franchisee of theirs. A married couple, both former teachers, they single handedly built the business from scratch while raising a family. The time and energy they’ve poured into growing CHT is evident and fuelled by their passion to provide top quality education. Their ethos of openness and inclusivity trickles down from directors to tutees.
My time as a franchisee has certainly challenged me in new ways, but this has in no way been a curse. Everything has been a learning experience, including the mistakes and mishaps. I know I have the support of Jo and Colin who are invested in my success as a franchisee. Owning a Choice franchise has allowed me to build a life I want, provided me with financial support while giving me the freedom to ride the ups and downs, and ultimately allowed me to put something good back into the world.
