A successful charity raffle evening has set the tone for a milestone year at Petpals, as the UK’s longest-established pet care franchise looks ahead to its 25th anniversary celebrations. The event, organised by Franchise Support Manager Tracey Dawber, brought together colleagues, friends and supporters to celebrate the company’s milestone and its caring community spirit.

Tracey is well known for her dedication to helping both people and pets. A keen runner, she’s already completed the London Marathon three times – raising funds for Dogs Trust, Cats Protection and the Army Benevolent Fund along the way. This time, she’s lacing up again for her fourth London Marathon in 2026, running in aid of the PDSA, the UK’s leading veterinary charity. As part of its anniversary year and commitment to giving back, Petpals is proud to be supporting Tracey’s efforts by contributing directly to her PDSA fundraising total.

“PDSA does incredible work helping pets and owners who might otherwise struggle to afford veterinary care,” said Tracey. “Running the marathon is a huge challenge, but knowing that every penny raised helps keep families and their pets together makes it all worthwhile. The support from Petpals and our community has been amazing – I’m so grateful to everyone who joined in and donated.”

The charity raffle, held at The Clatford Arms in Goodworth Clatford, featured prizes generously donated by local businesses and was followed by live music and plenty of celebration. It also marked the first in a series of fundraising and community events planned as Petpals steps into its 25th anniversary year in 2026.

Since its founding in 2001, the Petpals network has been supporting pet-loving communities across the country. And now, as the brand celebrates a quarter of a century of care, it’s turning that same compassion outward – supporting the animal charities that mean the most to its people throughout 2026. This event is just the start.

“The evening perfectly captured what Petpals is all about,” said Kevin Thackrah, Director of Petpals. “We’ve always believed in the power of community and kindness. Tracey’s enthusiasm, dedication and big-hearted approach embody the Petpals spirit – caring for animals, supporting each other and doing good wherever we can.

“As we celebrate 25 years, we’re looking forward to a year of fundraising and giving back to the communities, customers and pets who’ve helped us succeed along the way.”
