Chris and Mark have recently celebrated a decade with PetStay. This dynamic duo run two PetStay branches (PetStay Derby and PetStay Nottingham), and have this to say: –

“We first discovered PetStay when Mark’s parents became carers for a nearby branch. Always curious about running our own business, the franchise option made the idea real. Tired of the 9–5 grind and inspired by friends who had launched their own ventures, we were drawn to the flexibility and passion of being our own bosses. Starting a business from scratch felt daunting—with fees, legalities, and the potential isolation—so the support of a franchise made perfect sense.

After speaking with Carole and visiting PetStay’ s HQ in Hull, we knew it was the perfect fit. Thanks to the incredible support and training from Carole and her team, we launched in October 2015!

The lifestyle and flexibility PetStay has given us has been great and whilst we are always working on our branches, we work on it together…and it’s ours, so we know we’re working on building something amazing! We spend some of our weekends visiting local events, having our own PetStay stand which is great because it gives us the opportunity to do what we love most and that’s talk about dogs!!!
And being a part of the PetStay family really adds to what makes it so worthwhile…sharing ideas, discussing how to build our businesses and being in the knowledge we have the backing of a company that really does have the love of the dogs at the very heart!

Our first year at PetStay was full of excitement — and ten years later, that same passion and thrill still drives us!”
