Two decades of impact

TMC had the privilege of joining global care provider Home Instead as they celebrated 20 incredible years of business in the UK. It was a moment to pause and reflect on two decades that have shaped not only an industry, but hundreds of thousands of lives.

When Home Instead first introduced relationship-led, personalised home care to the UK in 2005, the model was seen as disruptive. Extended one-hour visits, continuity of care, prioritising dignity and emotional connection – many believed that the approach simply wouldn’t scale. Yet, twenty years on, it stands as the leading model for home care in this country.

From a single office to 265 + franchise models across all four nations, their growth tells a story of trust, partnership and a mission that resonates deeply: supporting older people to age at home, with dignity.

The human impact

The real story however isn’t the numbers, though there is plenty to celebrate.

Over 72 million care visits have been delivered. More than 200,000 clients supported. Over 100,000 Care Professionals employed. These milestones represent something far stronger however: relationships formed, confidence restored, independence reclaimed, and families supported when it’s needed most. Every visit, every connection, every act of care has made a real difference.

A reunion of purpose

The anniversary celebration bought together franchise owners who have built their businesses from the ground up, alongside new leaders stepping into the future of care. Stories of companionship, resilience and transformation were shared, a powerful reminder of what happens when people unite under a shared mission.

TMC are proud to have been part of that team, invited as a trusted partner to celebrate and witness the moving legacy of Home Instead.

Shared values, shared vision

For TMC, who have worked closely with Home Instead and their franchise network for many years, this milestone carried a particular significance. As we celebrate our own 20th anniversary in 2026, the values of courage, care and honesty, which sit at the heart of both organisations, feel more relevant than ever.

Like Home Instead, our mission has always centred on creating positive impact. Helping organisations communicate with clarity, empathy and purpose, so they can support the people and communities who rely on them most. Being part of this celebration reminded us why our work matters, because at its heart, great care and great communication are both about human connection.

Here’s to the next 20 years of making that difference, and the exciting chapters still to come!
