Sheffield marketing consultant Laura Helme has rebranded her business, moving from Marketing with Laura to join the established activ marketing franchise, allowing her to offer more than 200 marketing services to businesses across the region.
Laura has worked in marketing for eight to nine years, originally building her career within the dance, fitness and wellbeing industries. After completing a Dance degree at Liverpool John Moores University, she went on to study a Masters in Marketing at University of Lincoln, combining creativity with strategic expertise.
Four and a half years ago, she launched Marketing with Laura as a freelance business, supporting clients with Instagram, Facebook and copywriting. Over time, she built strong relationships with wellness focused brands, particularly physiotherapists, Pilates studios and dance businesses.
However, as demand grew, Laura recognised that to provide deeper support and scale sustainably, she needed more structure behind her.
“I loved running my own business, but freelancing can feel isolating,” Laura explains. “I wanted to grow in a way that felt supported and sustainable. I didn’t want clients to outgrow me because I couldn’t offer the next level of services.”
By joining activ marketing, Laura now operates her business with the backing of an established UK wide franchise model. The move means she can offer more than 200 services, including CRM systems, paid advertising, website development, SEO, branding and strategic marketing support, all delivered through proven systems and processes.
“The business in a box model gave me real confidence,” she says. “The services are tried and tested, the training is ongoing, and there is a strong support network behind the scenes. It means I can deliver a better, broader service while still keeping the personal relationships I value.”
While expanding her offer, Laura remains passionate about social media strategy and copywriting, helping brands show up consistently and confidently online.
She is particularly looking forward to continuing her work with physiotherapists, Pilates studios, dance schools and wellness businesses across Sheffield as well as the whole of the UK, now with a far wider toolkit to support their growth.
